Transpharmation business continuation reassurance.
Dear Customer,
At Transpharmation, we are committed to supporting companies like yours in the discovery and development of new drug therapies. We understand that the global spread of Covid-19 will be causing uncertainty and concern regarding the impact it may have on your business. The purpose of this email is to update you on the current situation within our facilities.
Our UK lab continues to progress ongoing studies according to schedules and timelines agreed with our clients. Transpharmation has had an 'action plan' in place for quite some time now and the Royal Veterinary College has already implemented strict measures within the central London buildings where we are based. We are continuing to operate 'business as usual', however, this is being reviewed on a daily basis in response to changing government guidelines.
Our current measures include the following:
Employees are required to monitor for symptoms prior to coming into any site in order to reduce the risk of site contamination.
Any employee, (or a member of their household) who suspects infection by the virus will follow the guidelines from the UK government and WHO, and will self-isolate. We will also assess other employees who may have been in contact with the infected individual.
We are not permitting visitors to our sites to reduce potential contamination.
We have implemented work-from-home capabilities and an operational design that is minimising the number of staff within the laboratories at any one time to reduce the risk of site contamination and operational shut down.
Employees have been issued with sanitizer for off-site use and are required to wear enhanced PPE whilst on site.
We are in close communication with the Home Office regarding the ongoing operation of the vivarium.
In order to keep the labs running and maintain the level of service you have come to expect, we will do our utmost, but these are unprecedented circumstances. The safety of our staff, and their families, is of paramount importance and we have both legal and ethical obligations we must adhere to within our establishment.
Please be assured that we will update you personally should your studies with us be affected. Thank you for your continued support during these challenging times for us all.
