New service - PBMC's
We are pleased to offer this new translational assay of inflammation
PBMCs: a robust and translational model of inflammation suitable for high-throughput screening, (Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells).
The immune system, and in particular inflammatory signalling, has emerged as a promising therapeutic target for a variety of diseases, including neurological and psychiatric disorders. Following the long-term success of our molecular biomarker discovery platform and preclinical models of inflammation, we are now offering similar endpoints in the translationally-relevant human PBMC assay.
Ex vivo stimulation of PBMCs isolated from human blood constitutes a useful molecular tool for efficiently screening novel compounds targeting inflammatory processes. This effective drug discovery assay can be tailored to meet your needs and enhance the translation of preclinical findings to clinical efficacy; complementing our extensive range of preclinical in vivo and ex vivo capabilities. We hope the early success of this clinically-relevant model will enable further expansion to a wide range of disease areas enabling high-throughput screening of novel anti-inflammatory therapies.
